Referrals
Please ensure you are sending your referrals in a timely manner — our clerks have noted that we are getting some complaints about missed referrals. Gentle reminder that referrals are not sent if entered after 3 days of the ED encounter. In that case you will need to speak to a clerk to ensure your referral is seen and sent.
CME — Dynamic Simulation returns to Midtown
WRHN Midtown is welcoming Dynamic Simulation back to the ED.

- Adrenal Crisis
- Calcium Channel Blocker Overdose
- Pediatric DKA — stress our local order set and double bag system
- Massive Upper GI Bleed (requiring Blakemore)
- STEMI with Refractory V-Fib (or Refractory V-Tach)
- Sympathetic Crashing Acute Pulmonary Edema (SCAPE)
- Paediatric Sepsis

There is an order called Bilirubin Panel which orders the Total, Direct, and Indirect Bili — particularly useful for assessing neonatal jaundice. Use the hyperbili tool when considering management:
