Med Directives — HTN in Pregnant / Postpartum Patients

In collaboration with the Gyne department, we are attempting to stand up a new medical directive for the management of HTN in pregnant / postpartum patients.
Please take a look and email Caitlin Jackson stating that you approve / do not approve the directive. Caitlin is copied on the original email.
The medical directive was passed at MAC recently and now requires your approval.

SSPC Referral Changes
The new outpatient referral looks like this:
SMGH / Cambridge Stroke Inpatients
Gentle reminder — unless they're part of the hyperacute stroke pathway, inpatients should be transferred directly to the stroke unit, not to the ERMD @ Midtown.
SADV
The Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence team is operating at both sites now. No need to transfer your patients to Queens.

TPA — Shortage
Please note that TPA 100 mg vials are on backorder.
- There remains one vial at the Queen's Boulevard site.
- The Midtown site and other area hospitals have limited supply as well.
- If a TPA vial is used, pharmacy will try to obtain another vial from our neighbouring sites the next day.
An alternative for PE is TNK — dosing is the same as for cardiac indications:
- < 60 kg — TNK 30 mg
- 60–70 kg — TNK 35 mg
- 70–80 kg — TNK 40 mg
- 80–90 kg — TNK 45 mg
- > 90 kg — TNK 50 mg
